First of all, why do we need to read Air Temperature? Well in simple terms we need to know how dense the air entering the engine is, also we can use this information to control things like intercooler water sprays, trim ignition and fuel maps. So it’s very important that the air temp readings are fast responding to temperature changes. I have made a test tube to show you the differences in the response times of the sensors. This really opens your eyes on how much difference in all the sensors there is. Please check out the video and also if you want to look at the log file yourself that I have made you will need MoTeC i2 STD to view this, click on the above photo to down load it yourself Any questions please let me know dave@epsmotorsport.com
